What are the Benefits of Invisalign First?

Early orthodontic treatment helps correct the bite early on and prevent younger patients from requiring future orthodontic treatments, and even oral surgery. Invisalign First can treat a broad range of malocclusions, from open spacing, overjet, crossbite, underbite, and more.

SmartForce® retention attachments may be added to the Invisalign aligners. These small attachments help readjust and resize certain areas of the smile and apply enough force needed to correct teeth.

Invisalign First can not only fix the look of crooked teeth but also the fit of the bite, making it easier to bite and speak. Patients and their parents can also see results early because of how the molars expand first, which helps the incisors simultaneously align.

Treatment with Invisalign First

We recommend that younger patients start visiting the dentist around age six so we can keep track of any developing bite or spacing problems. Dr. Haddad will consult with you and your child to see if Invisalign First is a viable option.

To begin treatment, Dr. Haddad will take quick digital impressions of the teeth. This process can take as little as one minute using iTero 5D technology. Once the aligners have been completed and sent to Dr. Haddad, she will make sure that the primary aligners fit comfortably.

Patients switch out each pair of aligners every week. There are small blue dots on the back of the aligners to help keep track of time. After the aligners are worn for a certain amount of time, the blue dots fade. The average treatment time for Invisalign First patients is 9 to 15 months, which varies depending on each patient’s concerns.
